Paris+ par Art Basel
18 – 22 october 2023
Celebrating the opening of our first permanent location in Paris, we return to Paris+ par Art Basel this year with a presentation that showcases the gallery’s diverse roster of artists. This coincides with major institutional shows in the city from the gallery’s artists, including solo exhibitions on Lee Lozano and Mike Kelley at Bourse de Commerce and ‘Lorna Simpson x Gaëlle Choisne’ at Reiffers Art Initiative.

‘The city has been part of Hauser & Wirth’s life—and its plans—since our earliest days three decades ago, but even more than this it’s a font of inspiration and exchange for our artists.’

Explore Paris
Paris, a city that has provided endless inspiration for artists. Ahead of the opening of our new gallery at 26 bis rue François 1er, we invite you inside the ateliers, homes and offices of some of our artists, friends, colleagues and collaborators in Paris.
Ursula: Issue 9
Featuring a cover by Takesada Matsutani made especially for the new issue, Paris is a focal point throughout Ursula Issue 9 and for the cover story, Matsutani and Kate Van Houten are joined in conversation with Désirée Moorhead-Hayter to revisit their exhilarating early days in Paris working at legendary printmaker Stanley William Hayter’s Atelier 17.
Each copy of Ursula Issue 9 includes a limited-release poster of Henry Taylor’s painting ‘I got brothers ALL OVA the world but they forget we’re related’ (2023) to commemorate Taylor’s solo exhibition at our new Paris location.
